Infinity pool hotels in Kuala Lumpur
Sky-floor, rooftop and podium pools with Kuala Lumpur skyline views, compared by area and budget
Kuala Lumpur is a city of high pools. Most of the pools on this page sit on a sky floor, a rooftop or a podium deck. Many look toward the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower or the Merdeka 118 tower.
We chose 12 hotels: 10 with an infinity pool and 2 with an open-air pool that earns its place through the skyline view. Ten of them are in KLCC or the Golden Triangle, including Bukit Bintang. One is at KL Sentral, and one is in Mont Kiara, a residential suburb where kitchen suites suit families.
The weather is hot all year, so pool days work in any season, with the driest spells usually in June, July and February. A few hotels sell day passes, so you can also try their pools without staying the night.

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur is a five-star infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur, set in KLCC beside the Petronas Twin Towers and Suria KLCC. Its outdoor infinity pool is shared by all hotel guests. The free-form pool sits on a garden terrace a few floors above the street, with the open edge facing KLCC Park, and the view runs across the park's trees to the city skyline.
The pool is open from early morning until evening. Visitors who are not staying can buy a Daycation pass, which the hotel lists with the pool, with separate adult and kids rates. Members of the hotel's Lifestyle Membership also use the wellness facilities, so the pool deck is not reserved for hotel guests alone.
Most rooms, suites and apartments are named by their view: KLCC Park, the city or the Petronas Twin Towers, so the category you book decides what you see from the window. Club rooms and suites include the MO Club lounge, open to guests aged 12 and above.
The Spa adds a sauna, a steam room and a hot tub, the gym is open around the clock, and a floodlit outdoor tennis court sits beside the pool deck. Families also get a kids' club and a kids' pool. Best for: couples on a city break who want a long pool day in KLCC, and families who will use the kids' club.
On the 51st floor of a 53-story glass tower on Jalan Kia Peng, in the Golden Triangle, the Sky Infinity Pool is the one shared pool at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur and is open to all hotel guests. The pool sits on the tower's open roof deck, and the official site lists views of the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower and Merdeka 118 from the water. It is open daily from early morning until late evening. There is no lifeguard on duty, and the hotel asks parents not to leave young children unattended.
At this infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur, every room and suite except the Residential Suites also has its own private pool on the balcony, facing the city. These private pools are not heated. The high-floor Panorama Pool Club Suites on levels 31 to 35 add Executive Lounge access. The Presidential Pool Suite on level 50 has three bedrooms and two private pools. The Residential Suites have two or three bedrooms and kitchen facilities, and the hotel presents them for families and longer stays.
Three of the six restaurants and bars sit on the top floors, next to the spa. Feast at FIFTY1 | Poolside Bistro, next to the pool on level 51, is an indoor restaurant with skyline views, and the same floor has LexSpa and a 24-hour gym. UMI Japanese Restaurant is one floor up, and Satellite Restaurant & Bar on level 53 is a rooftop bar with cocktails and DJ nights. Roselle Coffee House serves all-day buffet and a la carte meals.

EQ Kuala Lumpur keeps its saltwater infinity pool on Level 29 of a 52-story tower on Jalan Sultan Ismail, in the Golden Triangle. The city skyline and KL Tower sit beyond the open edge. The pool is 25 meters (82 feet) long, temperature-controlled and fitted with underwater music. Next to it, a smaller Vitality Pool with massage jets is reserved for guests aged 14 and above and takes a limited number of people at a time. Both pools are open from early morning into the evening and may close for a while in bad weather.
The whole of Level 29 is a wellness floor, with a spa, a Himalayan salt sauna, an aromatherapy steam room and a gym open 24 hours for in-house guests. Visitors can swim with the hotel's Pool Day Pass, sold on its online shop in 2026 and booked in advance; it covers the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and lockers, but not the gym.
EQ opened in 2019 on the site of the former Hotel Equatorial; this infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur has 440 rooms and suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and city views. Some room types face the Petronas Twin Towers, Equator Club rooms include a private lounge on Level 50, and the AHA! Suite has its own outdoor jacuzzi above the Vitality Pool. The top floor, Sky51, holds Sabayon, a contemporary European restaurant. Next to it is Blue, a bar and lounge with live music and an open-air terrace, open to guests aged 21 and above.
Best for: travelers who want a full wellness floor with a skyline swim in the city center, and business guests who like a pool with a view after meetings.

The main pool is 25 meters (82 feet) long, there is also a shallow children's pool, and the sundeck has loungers and daybeds. The pool is open daily from morning into the evening.

Level 21, the top floor of Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur, holds both the hotel's open-air saltwater infinity pool and the @21 rooftop bar. The rooftop pool is shared by all hotel guests and is open daily from early morning into the evening. Loungers line one side of the deck, and the skyline view past the edge takes in the city towers, including the Petronas Twin Towers.
This infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur opened in late 2024 inside the reworked shell of the former Wisma KFC building on Jalan Sultan Ismail, in the Golden Triangle. Designed by Silverfox Studios, the hotel draws on the city's tin-mining history, with bold graffiti and street art in the public spaces. The 312 rooms use clean lines and warm colors, and several categories add a private balcony with a city view. The only suite of its kind, Suite 17 on Level 17, has a separate bedroom, a bathtub and a balcony facing the skyline.
IL Forno, an Italian trattoria on Level 19, serves handmade pizzas and pasta, while TanBuri offers casual South Asian-inspired dishes. In the evening, @21 serves craft cocktails and quesadillas from a teppan grill beside the pool deck, with live entertainment on its program. The fitness center is open around the clock.
Best for: couples and solo travelers who want a design-led base in central Kuala Lumpur, with the pool and a rooftop bar on the same floor.
The infinity pool at THE FACE Suites sits on the Sky Deck at Level 51, the top floor of the tower. The deck has a skyline view that takes in KL Tower and Merdeka 118, and the gym is on the same floor. Opened in 2016 on Jalan Sultan Ismail, in the Golden Triangle business and shopping district, this all-suite infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur is the flagship of FACE Hospitality.
Every unit is a residential-style suite. One-bedroom suites start at 83 square meters (895 square feet) and most sleep up to three guests. The two-bedroom suites take up to five, which works for friends or relatives traveling together, and the suites come with kitchen facilities and a washing machine for longer stays.
Deep Blue, a rooftop tapas restaurant and bar, sits right beside the pool on Level 51. It opens in the evening, and a resident DJ plays from an elevated console above the dance floor, so the Sky Deck turns into a lively bar scene after sunset. Mai Bar and an outdoor infinity pool share the roof of Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, a Marriott hotel in the KL Sentral district. The pool is shared by all hotel guests, is included in the stay and is open from early morning until late evening. It is long and narrow and runs beside the tower's glass facade, with red and pink loungers and potted palms along the deck. From the open edge, the view takes in the office towers of KL Sentral, with green hills and distant apartment towers behind.
Mai Bar serves cocktails and small plates next to the water, and the hotel presents it as a spot for after-work drinks and livelier evenings. After dark, pink lights wash the tower wall behind the deck and the white Aloft sign. W XYZ Bar adds music and events, Nook serves the buffet breakfast and local dishes such as Sarawak laksa, and re:fuel is a self-serve pantry for snacks and coffee at any hour. The re:charge gym is open day and night and looks out over the city.
Rooms and loft-inspired suites have platform beds and large windows facing the city, and some room types are on high floors. The Breezy Suite adds a separate bedroom, living area and dining area. The Duplex Suite puts the bedroom on a loft level above the living area, a layout the hotel suggests for families, and children can join the Camp Aloft kids' program.
Best for: solo travelers and business guests looking for an infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur with an easygoing rooftop bar.

Set in Mont Kiara, a residential neighborhood north-west of central Kuala Lumpur, Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara is an apartment-style hotel with nearly 300 rooms and suites. Its outdoor infinity pool sits on the roof at Level 37 and is shared by all hotel guests. The view from the water takes in the Mont Kiara towers and the city skyline beyond, and loungers and shaded cabanas line the deck. The official site presents the pool as a facility for hotel guests and lists no day pass for visitors (checked in 2026).
Most of the rooms are studios and suites with a fully equipped kitchen, including a stove and a dishwasher, and a separate living area with a sofa bed. The larger suites sleep up to five, and one two-bedroom category adds an open-air Sky Terrace facing the city skyline. The Den rooms are smaller, with a microwave instead of a kitchen. Guests also have a self-service laundry room, a games room with billiards and foosball, and a 24-hour fitness center. The hotel has no spa.
Breakfast is a buffet at Gallery Kitchen, the all-day restaurant, with international and local dishes. Ten37 Sky Bar shares the 37th floor with the pool and serves drinks and bar snacks with skyline views; H Bar is a second bar in the hotel. The surrounding neighborhood is walkable, with supermarkets, cafes, shops and international schools.
Best for: families and extended-stay guests who want a kitchen suite and a rooftop pool in a residential neighborhood.
Impiana KLCC Hotel is an infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur, set on Jalan Pinang in the KLCC district. Its outdoor infinity edge pool sits on the Level 4 podium deck and is shared by all hotel guests. The official site includes use of the pool and the gym in its room rates and lists no day pass for visitors (checked in 2026).
From the deck, the view takes in the Kuala Lumpur skyline, with the Petronas Twin Towers rising among the KLCC high-rises. Palms, green umbrellas, loungers and outdoor sofas frame the water, and dining tables stand on the terrace behind it. Swasana Spa is on the same floor as the pool. The gym is higher up, on Level 25, and also looks toward the Twin Towers.
Room categories run from the Superior Twin Plus through Deluxe and Club rooms to two suites. The Deluxe Suite has a separate living room, and the Impiana Suite is the largest, at more than 120 square meters (1,300 square feet). Deluxe Plus rooms have parquet floors and a feature wall showing Malaysian historical sites and the hibiscus, the national flower. Club Room and suite guests can use the Club Lounge on the 15th floor. Cedar, the fine dining restaurant and bar, is on the same level and looks out over the KLCC skyline. Breakfast is a buffet with Asian, Continental and halal dishes.
Best for: business travelers and short city breaks in KLCC, with a pool deck that looks toward the Petronas Twin Towers.
With just 55 rooms and suites, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is a small five-star hotel set high in a tower on Jalan Conlay, in the Golden Triangle next to Bukit Bintang. Its pool is a covered open-air pool on an upper floor: a concrete roof and columns sit above the water, and a low glass balustrade closes the far side. From the water, the skyline view takes in the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower. The hotel presents the pool as a place for a quick dip or for swimming laps, and it is open daily from early morning until late evening.
Every room and suite has an oversized soaking tub or a relaxation pool. In the Banyan Retreat rooms, an oval tub stands by a window wall that looks over the city. The Sanctuary Suite adds a private relaxation pool and views of the Petronas Twin Towers, and the Banyan Tree Suite at the top of the range is a split-level duplex with its own dining area.
The hotel has six dining venues. Horizon Grill serves steaks and seafood 58 floors above the city, and Torito pairs Peruvian and Japanese cooking with skyline views. Vertigo, which the hotel bills as the highest rooftop bar in Kuala Lumpur, has a resident DJ and admits only guests aged 21 and over; this rule applies to the bar, not to the hotel. Banyan Tree Spa on Level 53 offers massages based on Asian healing traditions, and the gym is open around the clock.
Best for: couples on a city break who book a Twin Towers view suite and want the same towers from the pool, and travelers who plan to use the spa.
The Petronas Twin Towers rise directly behind WET Deck, the outdoor pool and bar on Level 12 of W Kuala Lumpur, a five-star hotel on Jalan Ampang in KLCC. The pool is open to the sky, shared by all hotel guests and included in the stay, with towels provided. It is open from early morning until early evening. Visitors can also buy a WET Deck day pass (checked in 2026) for all-day use of the pool and its showers, with a separate rate for children.
WET Deck is also the hotel's pool bar. Private cabanas can be booked for groups on the deck. DJs play there as day turns to night, and WET Deck sells tickets to DJ evenings that visitors can join. For dining, Flock on the 8th floor serves an all-day Asian grill menu and YEN serves modern Chinese cuisine. AWAY Spa has five treatment rooms, and the FIT gym is open around the clock.
All 150 rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows and a skyline view. Twin Towers view versions of the Deluxe rooms and Supreme suites can be booked, and rooms come with a Bluetooth sound bar, a Nespresso machine and a rain shower. The Penthouse I and II suites sit on the 23rd floor, and the Extreme WOW Suite has more than 460 square meters (5,000 square feet) of living space. Best for: groups of friends who want a social pool deck with DJs, and couples who want the Petronas Twin Towers in view from the water.
A sky-floor pool gives you the widest skyline, while a podium pool keeps you close to the street, with the towers rising above you. Kuala Lumpur has both, and the height of the pool shapes the whole stay.
The sky-floor group starts with Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur. Its Sky Infinity Pool is on the 51st floor, and the hotel's pool page lists views of the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower and Merdeka 118. THE FACE Suites also has its Sky Deck infinity pool on level 51, with the DEEPBLUE tapas bar beside it. EQ Kuala Lumpur puts its saltwater infinity pool on level 29, partway up the tower rather than on the roof.
Four more hotels have a rooftop infinity pool. Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree has a rooftop infinity pool 18 floors above Bukit Bintang. Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur has an open-air saltwater infinity pool on level 21, its top floor. Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral keeps its infinity pool beside Mai Bar, the hotel's rooftop bar. Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara has a rooftop infinity pool with city views in a residential suburb.
The podium group sits low, so the skyline rises above the water instead of spreading below it. Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur has a low-level outdoor infinity pool that looks over KLCC Park toward the city skyline. Impiana KLCC Hotel has its infinity-edge pool on level 4. The RuMa Hotel and Residences has an infinity pool that cantilevers over the edge of the building on the 6th floor.
Our pick for the widest skyline is Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, because its official pool page names all three landmarks in view. For a pool with KLCC Park below, we would choose Mandarin Oriental.
KLCC and the Golden Triangle suit most first visits. Ten of the 12 hotels on this page are there, counting Bukit Bintang, which lies inside the Golden Triangle. The other two serve narrower needs.
KLCC is the district around the Petronas Twin Towers, the Suria KLCC mall and KLCC Park. Stay here if you want the towers close by and a park for an early walk. Mandarin Oriental, Impiana KLCC and W Kuala Lumpur are the KLCC choices.
The Golden Triangle is the city's main shopping and entertainment district, spread along roads such as Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan P. Ramlee and Jalan Bukit Bintang. Imperial Lexis, THE FACE Suites, EQ, The RuMa and Hyatt Centric are all in this district. Bukit Bintang is its busiest corner. The Pavilion Kuala Lumpur mall alone has over 700 shops. The Changkat Bukit Bintang bar street and the Jalan Alor food street are a short walk away. Pavilion Hotel and Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur are the Bukit Bintang choices.
KL Sentral is where the KLIA Ekspres airport train arrives, and Aloft suits a short stay or an early flight there. Mont Kiara is a residential suburb northwest of the center, with Hyatt House as our only hotel.
Our pick for a first visit is The RuMa, because it pairs a cantilevered infinity pool with an address on Jalan Kia Peng, close to KLCC. Shoppers should choose Pavilion Hotel, which has direct access to the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur mall.
Three hotels on this page sell pool day passes: W Kuala Lumpur, EQ Kuala Lumpur and Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur. In 2026 an adult pass costs from about 50 to 220 ringgit, depending on the hotel and the day.
The WET Deck day pass at the W is the cheapest, and a child pays half the adult price. It gives all-day access to the WET Deck pool on level 12, with showers and a coconut. The pool shares the deck with a bar, so expect a social scene rather than a quiet swim.
EQ's Pool Day Pass covers the infinity pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and lockers, but not the gym. Mandarin Oriental sells Daycation passes for adults and children, with higher prices on weekends and public holidays.
We found no published day pass for the other nine hotels, so plan on their pools being for staying guests. Our pick for a pool day without a room is EQ, because the pass adds the spa facilities to a saltwater infinity pool. The W is the better value if you want a lively deck.
Two hotels, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and W Kuala Lumpur, are here for their setting rather than an infinity edge. Their pools have wide views and a bar close by, but the hotels do not describe them as infinity pools.
Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur has a covered open-air pool near the top of its tower, with a roof overhead and the sides open to the city. That makes it a good option when it rains. Higher up, the tower also holds the hotel's Vertigo rooftop bar, open to guests aged 21 and above. Do not confuse this hotel with Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree, which has the rooftop infinity pool in Bukit Bintang.
The W's pool sits on level 12 at WET Deck, and the hotel names the Petronas Twin Towers as its backdrop. It works best as a pool bar with a view, open to day visitors as well as guests.
Our pick between the two is Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur for a stay in the wetter months, since its pool is covered. Choose the W for a social pool day with the towers in view.
Families should start with Hyatt House in Mont Kiara, then look at The RuMa, Aloft and Pavilion Hotel in the city. Each offers kitchens, a children's pool or a space for kids.
Hyatt House has studios and one- and two-bedroom suites with a full kitchen, plus a games room and laundry facilities. The RuMa has a separate, shallow children's pool next to its main infinity pool. Aloft lists a children's pool and runs Camp Aloft for young guests. Pavilion Hotel has a kids' room with games, toys and movies on level 16.
If you stay elsewhere, Mandarin Oriental also sells a Kids Pass with its Daycation offer, which makes a family pool day by KLCC Park possible.
Our pick for families is Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara, for its kitchen suites and rooftop infinity pool. In the center, we would choose The RuMa for its shallow children's pool.
Couples get the most from a sky-floor pool with a view to linger over, and groups of friends from a pool with a bar on the deck. We found no adults-only pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The only published age rule we found is at EQ, where the Vitality Pool is reserved for guests aged 14 and above.
For couples, Imperial Lexis pairs its 51st-floor sky pool with rooms that have their own private pool, which the hotel promotes on its official site. EQ adds underwater music in its infinity pool and a Vitality Pool with hydro jets. At Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, the covered pool sits below the Vertigo rooftop bar, which suits a special night out.
For groups, THE FACE Suites is an all-suite tower with the DEEPBLUE tapas bar next to its level 51 infinity pool. Aloft's infinity pool sits beside Mai Bar, and Hyatt Centric pairs its top-floor pool with a rooftop bar.
Our pick for couples is Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, for the 51st-floor pool and the three-landmark view. For a group of friends, we would choose THE FACE Suites, where the pool and the bar share the 51st floor.
June, July and February are the best months for pool days. The Malaysian Meteorological Department gives them as the drier spells for most of Peninsular Malaysia outside the east coast. The city is hot all year, with daytime highs around 32-34 C (90-93 F). Nights stay near 24 C (75 F), and the air is humid in every season.
Rain peaks twice a year. The main peak comes in October and November, and a second, smaller one in April and May. The city sits in the shelter of the Titiwangsa Range, so the northeast monsoon that brings heavy rain to the east coast affects it less. Showers can still stop a swim: EQ states that its pools may close temporarily in bad weather.
Book June, July or February for the best odds of dry pool days. In the wetter months, a covered pool such as the one at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is the safer choice.
In 2026, a night at an infinity pool hotel in Kuala Lumpur can start under 100 USD, and the luxury flagships cost more. As a rough guide, the midrange hotels on this page start at up to about 130 USD a night, and the top of the range starts above 200 USD. Check the hotel cards for current prices.
On this page, Impiana KLCC, Hyatt Centric, Aloft, THE FACE Suites and Hyatt House are the midrange options. Mandarin Oriental, EQ, the W and Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur sit at the top of the range. Imperial Lexis, Pavilion Hotel and The RuMa fall in between.
Foreign guests also pay Malaysia's Tourism Tax of 10 ringgit per room per night, collected by the hotel or the booking site. Check whether a quoted rate already includes it.
Our pick for value is Impiana KLCC Hotel, because its level 4 infinity-edge pool looks out over the Kuala Lumpur skyline at a midrange price.
