Infinity pool hotels in Phuket
Clifftop, hillside and beachfront pools facing Andaman Sea sunsets or Phang Nga Bay islands
Phuket's pool hotels look out over two different kinds of water. On the west coast, clifftop and hillside resorts in Kata and Kamala face the open Andaman Sea and the sunset, while on the east side, Cape Yamu and Koh Naka Yai face Phang Nga Bay and its limestone islands.
Most hotels on this list have a true infinity pool, with an open edge toward the water. A few are here for their setting instead, such as a beachfront garden pool, a long beach-level pool or a hillside pool terrace, and each description says exactly what kind of pool you get.
Air temperatures stay high all year. Rain and sea conditions are what change between the dry months and the southwest monsoon, so the guide below the list compares areas, seasons, prices and day pass options.
Described by the Michelin Guide as 100 meters long, the main infinity pool at COMO Point Yamu reaches out from the resort's headland at the tip of Cape Yamu toward Phang Nga Bay. Wooden decks with rows of white loungers and parasols line both long sides, and the view takes in the bay and its limestone karst islands. The resort sits on the island's quieter east coast, on a headland rather than a sandy beach.
The 106 rooms, suites and villas have interiors by Italian designer Paola Navone, in white and aquamarine tones with Peranakan touches, and most have Phang Nga Bay views. Bay Rooms start at 45 square meters, while the Phang Nga Pool Rooms, the Phang Nga Pool Suites and all 27 villas come with private pools.
Dining covers Thai dishes with seafood from local fishermen, Italian food and the health-focused COMO Shambhala Kitchen menu, served with open-air views over the bay. Hotel guests have free use of the COMO Shambhala gym, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms, children can join the Play by COMO kids' club, and the resort's classic motorboat, Capricorn II, is available for private charters through Phang Nga Bay.
Best for: couples and families who want a quiet east-coast base with bay views and a kids' club.
A 35-meter oceanfront infinity pool runs along the terrace of the Kata Rocks Clubhouse, parallel to the sea, on a private headland above Kata Beach on Phuket's southwest coast. Loungers stand in the shallow water on the building side, and the open edge faces the bay and the small islands offshore. The pool is open from early morning until late afternoon. As of 2026, visitors who are not staying can use it with the KR Extended Day Pass (THB 5,000 per person, including a THB 3,500 credit for food, drinks or spa treatments), with pool access from late morning to late afternoon.
This all-villa infinity pool hotel in Phuket has 34 Sky Pool Villas, 25 of them available for overnight stays. They range from the 134-square-meter One-Bedroom Ocean Pool Loft to the 460-square-meter Four-Bedroom Sky Pool Villa Penthouse, and each has a private infinity pool, an Andaman Sea view and a full kitchen. Breakfast can be served on a tray floating in the villa pool.
The Clubhouse serves a modern Mediterranean menu with Australasian and Thai influences and fresh seafood, and afternoon tea is served beside the infinity pool. The Infinite Luxury Spa has eight treatment rooms and suites.
Best for: travelers who want an all-villa resort with a sea-view private pool, including families or friends sharing a multi-bedroom villa.

Baba Poolclub, the social center of Sri Panwa, is built around a 25-meter infinity-edge lap pool with views out to sea. The indoor and outdoor venue covers 5,000 square meters and also holds a pool bar, BaBaQ Dining, a game room and the Baba88 disco. The venue's restaurant and pool bar are open from early morning until late at night, and the resort says this is where most guests spend the day when they are not in their villas. On Saturday evenings the club hosts a ladies' night with a DJ and a fire show. The resort also sells a day pass for its forest infinity pool, returned as restaurant credit.
Sri Panwa is a hotel with infinity pools in its villas, suites and pool club, spread over 40 acres at the southeastern tip of Phuket on Cape Panwa. The villas sit along the eastern and western ridges of the cape, 40 to 60 meters above sea level, with glass-walled bedrooms facing either sunrise or sunset. Each Private Pool Villa has a 12-meter infinity-edge pool, a sun terrace, a private sala and an outdoor bathing area, and most categories face the Andaman Sea. The Habita enclave adds 20 Pool Suites and 10 Penthouses of about 70 to 140 square meters, each with its own infinity pool, and the enclave also has an Olympic-size forest waterfall pool.
Other shared spaces include the Beach Pool near a secluded beach, the Baba Nest rooftop bar for sunset drinks, Cool Spa, a gym and tennis courts.
Best for: couples and groups of friends who want a private villa pool plus a lively pool club and bar scene.
The clifftop infinity pool at Paresa Resort Phuket is 30 meters long and filled with salt water. It faces the open Andaman Sea from the cliffs of Kamala, on the stretch of west coast known as Millionaires' Mile. The dark-tiled pool ends in an open edge above the rocky shoreline, with loungers and parasols on a stepped deck and a small bar serving light refreshments through the day. In the evening, the resort's Romantic Infinity Pool dinner places a private table on a platform in the pool.
Paresa is a small infinity pool hotel in Phuket: its 42 suites and villas each have a private infinity pool and a view of the Andaman Sea. Categories run from the 140-square-meter Ocean Pool Suite to the 660-square-meter Grand Residence Pool Villa, with Thai wooden floors, traditional furnishings and outdoor terraces facing the sunset. The Spa Pool Suite and the Two Bedroom Ocean Pool Suite are reached by stairs only.
Talung Thai, the resort restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide, serves Thai and international dishes with sunset views. The Spa by Paresa offers treatments based on Thai healing traditions in rooms with ocean views, and the resort also has a 24-hour gym overlooking the sea, private Thai cooking classes and the Andaman Gallery, a quiet lounge with board games and books.
Best for: couples and honeymooners looking for a quiet clifftop stay with sunset views.
Where Nai Harn Bay forms a crescent at Phuket's southern tip, The Nai Harn rises in white terraces from the rocks at the western end of the beach. The hotel was formerly the Royal Phuket Yacht Club, the island's first five-star hotel, and it is the only member of The Leading Hotels of the World on Phuket island.
Its 130 rooms and suites step down the hillside, and most face the bay and Promthep Cape. The private terraces are large. The Grand Ocean View Rooms measure up to 81 square meters, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace big enough for breakfast outside, furnished with a canopied daybed and open to sunset views over the water. The Royal Ocean View Suites, at 111 square meters, have a deep soaking tub set by the window.
The pool sits on a terrace between the guest wings and faces directly over the bay. It is a free-form pool with a small planted island, and a broad deck with rows of loungers runs along its sea side to a curved white wall. On the roof, Reflections Rooftop Bar looks over the Andaman Sea and includes Hansha, a sushi and sashimi bar. PRIME, a 14-seat restaurant above Rock Salt, also faces the bay. On the beach, the hotel provides loungers and umbrellas, and a beach butler sets up shade and refreshments for guests.
Best for: couples who want a large sea-view terrace and a beach directly below the hotel.
Along 600 meters of beachfront on Emerald Bay, Rosewood Phuket places its pavilions, villas and larger houses beside the white sand. The design is contemporary and understated, with natural materials and neutral colors.
In the beachfront garden, the shared pool area is made of connected free-form and rectangular basins, crossed by timber boardwalks and broken up by lawn islands and palms. A strip of palms, beach loungers and sand lies between the pools and the bay. The pool is divided into lap, activity and children's sections and is open from early morning until mid-evening. A catering team takes food and drink orders by the water. Mai, a poolside lounge, serves cocktails in the evening, and The Shack serves simple seafood next to the pool.
Rosewood's 71 pavilions and villas each have a private pool, from plunge pools to full-size pools. Pool pavilions start at about 130 square meters, some with an outdoor bathtub, and the Beachfront Pool Villa, at about 326 square meters, sits next to the sand. Red Sauce, the Italian restaurant, looks over Emerald Bay, and Ta Khai serves Southern Thai cuisine. The resort also has Asaya Spa and the Rosewood Explorers kids club.
Best for: couples who want a private pool in a beachfront setting, and families who will use the kids club and children's pool.

Kamala Bay spreads out below Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort, where the guest buildings step down a green hillside toward the sea. At the foot of the slope is the oceanfront infinity pool: a long pool lined with sun loungers and cabanas, facing the Andaman Sea and the sunset. The hotel calls it one of the largest hotel pools in Phuket. Loungers and cabanas have a button for ordering food and drinks, and a spa cabana offers massages by the pool.
With a separate kids' pool, this is a family-friendly infinity pool hotel in Phuket. No lifeguards are on duty, and children under 10 must be with an adult. All 201 rooms and suites have a private balcony or terrace, some add a plunge pool or a whirlpool, and some two-bedroom family rooms have a bunk bed. Rooms on the hillside are reached by stairs only.
Casa Boho, a three-story clifftop restaurant and bar serving Latin American food, has its own infinity pool and a rooftop bar over Kamala Bay. The beach in front of the resort is not suited to swimming, but it has a house reef, where the Marine Biological Center team leads snorkel trips and low-tide shore walks. The resort also has the Camp Hyatt kids club, Nahm Spa and the hilltop Regency Club lounge.
Best for: families who want a kids club and reef activities, and couples looking for sunset views.

Trisara spreads its private pool villas, suites and residences across a planted hillside on Phuket's northwestern coast, facing the Andaman Sea. The villas and suites sit in private gardens under palms, each reached through its own gate, and the resort describes the beach below as secluded and reserved for in-residence guests.
Down at beach level, a long saltwater pool for all guests runs parallel to the sand, with a strip of loungers and palms between the pool and the sea. Every suite, villa and residence also has its own pool. The Ocean View Pool Villa, about 240 square meters, has a private infinity pool, and the Signature Ocean View Pool Suite, about 230 square meters, has a 9-meter infinity pool on a teak deck. The Ocean View Pool Junior Suites, on the top level of the resort, have a reflection pool and panoramic ocean views, while the 2-Bedroom Ocean Front Pool Villas sit 8 meters above the bay.
Private pool residences range from two to ten bedrooms, with room for families and groups. Trisara holds a MICHELIN Key, and its restaurants include PRU, which has a MICHELIN Star, and La Crique On The Beach. JARA Wellness bases its treatments on traditional Thai healing.
Best for: families or groups of friends renting a multi-bedroom pool residence, and couples who want a secluded beach below their villa.

Opened in 2026, Radisson Blu Resort, Phuket Mai Khao Beach is a 222-room resort with direct access to Mai Khao Beach, on the quieter north side of the island. The property sits between the edge of Sirinat National Park and the grounds of Mai Khao Temple, and casuarina trees line the beach in front.
The resort describes its main pool as an 80-meter beachfront infinity pool. There is also a dedicated kids' pool and a rooftop pool next to Luana On Sii, the rooftop bar. The rooftop has glass balustrades and teak-style decking, looks over the Andaman Sea at sunset and serves cocktails into the night.
All 222 rooms and suites look out over the ocean or the gardens, and each has a balcony or terrace. Rooms start at 35 square meters, and several ocean-front categories add a private pool or direct pool access. Boardwalk is the all-day restaurant, with a menu that leans toward Mediterranean coastal food, and Sensara serves Southeast Asian dishes inspired by the Mekong region. Other facilities include The Spa at Blu, a 24-hour fitness center with ocean views and a supervised Kids Club, and the resort accepts dogs and cats.
Best for: families and travelers with pets who want a calm beachfront base away from Phuket's busier beach towns.

Kalima Resort & Spa Phuket is a five-star hillside resort on a green slope near Kalim Beach, at the north end of Patong Bay. The buildings step up the hill, so most rooms, the pool decks and the rooftop terrace look out over the bay and the Andaman Sea. The resort does not sit on the sand, and the hillside layout means stairs between levels.
Terraced into the slope on several levels, the hillside infinity pool has its open edge facing Patong Bay. Wooden decks with loungers run along the edge, a curved bridge crosses one section, and guests can order drinks at the swim-up bar. A second hillside pool offers a quieter place to swim, and there is a separate kids' pool. Guests often single out the sunset views over the bay.
Rooms start with deluxe rooms of about 46 square meters with a balcony. Higher categories include junior suites, pool access rooms, and duplex and two-bedroom villas with private pools. Malika Terrace, the rooftop restaurant and sky bar, serves Thai and European dishes, and Gin Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar covers Japanese food. Busaba Spa, a Kids Club with an indoor play area and a fitness center complete the facilities.
Best for: couples and families who prefer a view-focused hillside stay over a beachfront address.
The Shore at Katathani is a secluded, adults-only infinity pool hotel in Phuket on Kata Noi Beach, made up entirely of pool villas, and children under 12 are not allowed. The villas spread up the hillside among palm-filled gardens, and the resort does not allow outside visitors to use its facilities.
Its main infinity pool sits at beach level and runs parallel to the sand, with the open edge facing Kata Noi Beach and the Andaman Sea. White-curtained cabanas stand along the edge, loungers fill the lawn behind it, and the pool is lit in the evening. It is an adults-only infinity pool with no day passes.
Each villa has its own private pool, and the resort describes the pools in its sea-view villas as infinity pools. Villas also have a sunken lounge, a bathtub with a rain shower, hardwood floors and large glass doors that open onto a private deck. Most villas look out over the ocean and Kata Noi Beach; the Pool Villa category faces a garden instead. Pool Villas and Seaview Pool Villas measure about 130 square meters, and the Seaview Pool Villa Romance adds a larger sun terrace and an indoor bathtub for two. The Harbor restaurant overlooks the beach and serves international dishes and breakfast, and the resort also has a spa and a fitness center.
Best for: honeymooners who want an adults-only resort and a private pool villa.

Naka Yai Island (Koh Naka Yai) is a small island off Phuket's east coast, and The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket is the only resort on it. The island belongs to Phuket province but is separate from the main island of Phuket, so guests reach the resort by speedboat. The resort has 90 rooms, suites and villas, and more than 70 of them are villas with private pools.
On the beachfront lawn just behind the resort's beach, the shared infinity pool has its open edge facing the sea and the islands on the horizon. A round platform in the pool, reached by stepping pads, holds loungers, and three private cabanas beside the pool are served by Rum Chapel, the beachfront Mediterranean restaurant. The pool is open from early morning until dusk and includes a dedicated kids' zone. It was redesigned in a renovation that the resort unveiled in 2025. As the only resort on its island, this is one of the more secluded choices for an infinity pool hotel in Phuket province.
Villas face the garden, the sea or the beach, and have curved walls, an open-air bathroom and a covered sala with a daybed. Every villa category includes butler service. Aiyara serves Royal Thai cuisine, Veranda has an international menu, and Zbar is the beachfront bar for sunset drinks. Spa Naka by HARNN now has eight treatment rooms, and the resort holds One MICHELIN Key.
Best for: families and couples who want a secluded island stay, with a Kids Club and a beachside infinity pool.
The west coast is the best area for most pool-focused trips, because it holds most of the clifftop and hillside infinity pools on this page and faces the Andaman Sea sunset. The east coast is quieter and looks across Phang Nga Bay to its limestone islands. The coast decides what you see from the pool edge.
Most of the cliff and hillside pools on this page are here. Kata Rocks stands on a headland above Kata Beach with a 35 meter (115 foot) oceanfront infinity pool, and The Shore at Katathani keeps its main infinity pool at beach level on Kata Noi Beach. On the Kamala hillside known as Millionaires' Mile, Paresa Resort Phuket has a clifftop saltwater infinity pool. Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort steps down the slope at the south end of Kamala Bay, Kalima Resort & Spa Phuket looks over Patong Bay from a hillside at Kalim, and Rosewood Phuket is the beachfront alternative, with garden pools on Emerald Bay.
The northwest is the quiet end of the west coast: long beaches, little nightlife. Radisson Blu Resort, Phuket Mai Khao Beach opened here in 2026 beside Sirinat National Park, with what the resort calls an 80 meter (260 foot) beachfront infinity pool. Trisara Villas & Residences Phuket pairs a beach-level saltwater pool with private pool villas above it.
Four resorts sit apart from the busy beaches, on their own points of land. The Nai Harn is built in white terraces up the rocks of Nai Harn Bay, at the southern tip. COMO Point Yamu, Phuket sits at the end of Cape Yamu, its long infinity pool pointing toward Phang Nga Bay, and Sri Panwa Phuket Luxury Pool Villa Hotel lines two ridges of Cape Panwa, so some villas face the sunrise and others the sunset. The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket stands alone on Koh Naka Yai, a separate island in Phuket province off the east coast, reached by boat.
If you want one area to book without much research, take the Kamala to Kata stretch, and Paresa within it: the cliff puts the sunset in front of the pool.
Choose a clifftop or hillside pool when the view is your priority, and a beachfront pool when you want to walk from the water onto the sand, because in Phuket one hotel rarely gives you both.
The clifftop hotels show the trade-off. Kata Rocks is not on the sand: it sits on a headland above Kata Beach, with a buggy down to the sand. COMO Point Yamu has no beach of its own and takes guests to island beaches by boat. Hyatt Regency Phuket and Kalima are above the shore rather than on it: the water below Hyatt Regency is a house reef for snorkel trips, not for swimming, and Kalima trades sand for a view over all of Patong Bay.
Beachfront pools sit lower and trade height for access. The main infinity pool at The Shore at Katathani runs parallel to Kata Noi Beach at sand level, and the pool at The Naka Island sits on the lawn behind its beach. Radisson Blu Mai Khao opens onto Mai Khao Beach, Rosewood lines Emerald Bay with connected garden pools, and at Trisara a long saltwater pool runs beside the sand. The Nai Harn falls between the two, with a pool terrace above the beach.
If the view is what you are paying for, our pick is Paresa on the Kamala cliffs; if you want the sea between pool sessions, Radisson Blu Mai Khao.
December to April is the best time for pool days in Phuket, because it is the driest part of the year, though the pools are usable in every month. Daytime highs stay near 32 C (90 F) and rise to about 34 C (93 F) in March, so what changes is the rain and the state of the sea.
The dry months bring the most reliable pool weather and the calmest sea on the west coast, and also the highest rates. Some hotel extras follow the same calendar: Kata Rocks puts out its sea pontoon only from December to April.
The monsoon runs from May to October, and the rain usually arrives in bursts of an hour or two in the afternoon or early evening rather than all day, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand. September and October are the wettest weeks, with rain on roughly twenty days a month.
Rain limits sea swimming far more than pool use: the west-coast surf gets strong, and a red flag on the beach means do not swim. Resorts on the east side, such as Sri Panwa and COMO Point Yamu, say their bays stay calmer then, but the flags on the day decide.
Our pick for a monsoon trip is COMO Point Yamu, whose long pool and bay views do not depend on the sea being calm.
Starting rates on this page run from roughly 120 to 1,200 USD a night in 2026. The lower end buys a big resort with a shared infinity pool; the upper end buys a villa with its own pool, a beach few people reach, or both.
Under about 250 USD you are looking at Radisson Blu Mai Khao, Kalima Resort & Spa Phuket and Hyatt Regency Phuket, where the big shared pool is the main event. The entry rooms of The Nai Harn and COMO Point Yamu also fall in this band. The middle band holds the villa resorts: The Naka Island, Sri Panwa, The Shore at Katathani, Paresa and Kata Rocks. Above them sit Rosewood Phuket and Trisara.
Treat those bands as a map, not a quote: each card shows the lowest rate we found for the coming months, refreshed every month. Rates follow the season: they are highest in the dry months and softer in the monsoon.
Our value pick is Kalima: one of the lowest starting rates on this page, with a hillside infinity pool over Patong Bay.
Yes, at a few resorts, but most pools here are for staying guests. Kata Rocks is the clearest case. In 2026 its extended day pass costs 5,000 baht per person, and most of that comes back as credit for food, drinks or spa treatments, as set out in the resort's day pass terms. Pool and lounge access runs from late morning to late afternoon, children under 12 are free when supervised, and payment is required in advance.
The Shore at Katathani is the opposite: adults-only, with no children under 12, and no outside visitors, so its beach-level infinity pool is for guests only.
Sri Panwa sells one too, at 1,888 baht per person in 2026, returned as restaurant credit, for its forest infinity pool (day pass page). The rest of the hotels here publish none, and a restaurant booking is not pool access, so ask first.
Our pick for a day visit is Kata Rocks: clear terms, and most of the fee comes back as credit.
Couples have the widest choice in Phuket, families should look for a kids club and a separate children's pool, and groups do best with a multi-bedroom villa or a pool club.
Only one resort here is adults-only: The Shore at Katathani, where children under 12 are not allowed and every stay is in a pool villa. Paresa is the other quiet choice for two, a small clifftop resort where every suite and villa has its own infinity pool.
Several resorts are built for children. Hyatt Regency Phuket has a kids' pool, a kids club and snorkel trips on its house reef; there are no lifeguards, and children under 10 must be with an adult. COMO Point Yamu runs its own kids club, Radisson Blu Mai Khao adds a kids' pool to its club, Rosewood keeps a children's section in the shared pool, and The Naka Island has a kids' zone inside its infinity pool.
For groups, Kata Rocks has sky pool villas with up to four bedrooms and Trisara rents pool residences with two to ten. For a livelier day, Baba Poolclub at Sri Panwa pairs an infinity-edge lap pool with a bar, a restaurant and a Saturday DJ night.
Our pick for families is Hyatt Regency Phuket, for the kids club and reef program in one place; for friends, a four-bedroom villa at Kata Rocks.
A private pool villa is worth it if you plan long hours in your own water, but it does not replace the main pool: villa pools are for cooling off and privacy, not for swimming lengths.
Villas are a large part of what Phuket sells. Every suite and villa at Paresa has a private infinity pool, each of Rosewood's pavilions and villas has its own pool, and most of the 90 rooms at The Naka Island are villas with pools. At Trisara, every villa, suite and residence has its own pool.
A pool villa is not always a sea-view villa. At The Shore at Katathani the Pool Villa category faces a garden while the Seaview Pool Villas look over the ocean, The Naka Island sells garden-view villas too, and at Sri Panwa the side of the cape decides whether you wake to the sunrise or the sunset. Read the full category name before you book, not only the photos.
Our pick for a villa week is Trisara, for space and a quiet beach, or Kata Rocks for a villa pool steps from the main infinity pool.
Check three things: how you reach your room, when the pool closes and which beach rules apply. They vary widely between Phuket resorts.
Hillside hotels often mean stairs. At Hyatt Regency Phuket the hillside rooms are reached by stairs only, Paresa lists two suite categories with stairs-only access, and Kalima climbs its slope the same way. If stairs are a problem, ask for a step-free room or a beach-level resort such as Rosewood or Radisson Blu Mai Khao.
Pool hours differ more than you would expect. Kata Rocks closes its infinity pool in the late afternoon, the pools at Rosewood stay open into the evening, and the pool at The Naka Island closes around dusk. Check the closing time on the hotel's page if a sunset swim matters.
Two local rules are worth knowing. Smoking has been banned on a list of popular Thai beaches, including Patong, since 2017, with heavy fines. Thailand also bans sunscreens with four reef-damaging ingredients inside its national parks, so buy a reef-safe one; the Tourism Authority of Thailand lists what to avoid. That matters at Mai Khao and Nai Thon, beside Sirinat National Park.
Our pick for a long pool day without stairs is Rosewood: beachfront garden pools, open into the evening.
