Infinity pool hotels in Los Cabos
Beachfront infinity pools along the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific, and who can use them.
Los Cabos sits at the tip of the Baja California peninsula, where the desert meets two very different seas. The Tourist Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo faces the calm Sea of Cortez, while the Pacific side has cliffs and strong surf.
Every hotel on this page has an infinity pool facing the water, but choosing an infinity pool hotel in Los Cabos starts with the sea in front of it. A beachfront room does not always come with a swimmable beach here, so the pool often carries the stay.
Before booking, check who can use the infinity pool, since several are reserved for adults or older guests, and whether it is heated for cool winter evenings. Then look at which room categories add a private plunge pool.
Compare the pool, the hotel highlights and the starting price, then jump to any hotel for photos and room details.

From: the lowest nightly rate seen for upcoming dates, for the cheapest room, which is not always the category with the infinity pool; taxes and fees included, except a local tourist tax collected at the hotel where one applies; your dates may differ. Rating: the guest review score on Booking.com, out of 10.
The order weighs the pool first, a shared signature infinity pool ahead of pools reserved for certain rooms, then its setting and view, and after that the hotel itself: brand, distinctions, guest score and price.

Esperanza stands on the Punta Ballena bluffs in the Tourist Corridor, overlooking the Sea of Cortez, with private beaches of its own. Its beachfront infinity pool, one of five pools on the grounds, is reserved for adults. It faces the sea from every angle and has direct access to the beach. Cabanas come with full poolside service, there is a jacuzzi, and the lunch menu adds seafood from Cocina del Mar.
The resort itself welcomes guests of all ages. Families have pools of their own, one with a graduated bottom for small children, plus kids' and teens' clubs. Most of the roughly 160 units are villas of two to four bedrooms with full kitchens; each casita has a large private terrace. The Two Bedroom Garden View Villa with Plunge Pool adds a private plunge pool in a garden setting.
Cocina del Mar, one of five restaurants, sits on a rocky point surrounded by waves. Best for: couples who want a quiet pool facing the sea, and families who want a kids' club within the same resort.
Montage Los Cabos sits on Santa Maria Bay, a protected marine sanctuary on the Sea of Cortez side of the Tourist Corridor. Its infinity pool is part of the oceanfront Main Pool and is set aside for adult guests, with the bay spread out beyond the edge. Next to it, a family-friendly upper pool serves guests of all ages, and private cabanas and daybeds can be booked at the pool or on the beach.
The beach is the other reason to stay. The water in the bay is calm enough for swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding, guided dives explore its coral reef, and dolphins and, in season, whales pass offshore. Santa Maria Beach holds Blue Flag certification. Spa Montage has a second pool for adults, the Serenity Pool, with breakfast and lunch served poolside.
The resort has 122 rooms, suites and casas plus 52 Montage Residences, and most rooms and suites have a balcony or terrace and an outdoor shower. The King Rooms with Pool and Suites with Pool add a private pool on the terrace, and the four- and five-bedroom Casas are villas with their own pool. Children are welcome at the resort, and the Paintbox kids' club takes ages 5 to 12.
Best for: swimmers and snorkelers who want calm sea water at the door, and families who need a kids' club.

A three-tiered infinity pool steps down toward a protected cove of the Sea of Cortez in the Tourist Corridor. It is open to all hotel guests and divided into an Adults Pool overlooking the beach, a central Family Pool with shaded cabanas and a shallow Kids Pool. Below it, the bay has calm water and coral reefs, so guests can swim and snorkel straight from the shore.
The 90 guest rooms, four suites and 50 villas follow a contemporary Baja style with an emphasis on outdoor space. Private pools come with specific categories: the Garden View Suite with Plunge Pool has a plunge pool, the Wellness Suite has an infinity-edge plunge pool on its terrace, and the rooftop Sky Villas, with three to five bedrooms, have a private pool and fireplace.
Floating bartenders serve the Adults Pool from mid-afternoon. The resort is also set up for families, with the Pescaditos Kids Club for ages 5 to 12 and a Teens Club. The H2O Cave lends kayaks and snorkeling gear at no charge, and COMAL serves modern Mexican cooking.
Best for: families who want a calm beach for swimming and snorkeling, and groups of friends sharing one of the Sky Villas.

The Adults Pool, an infinity pool open to adult guests only, faces the Pacific Ocean, with the cliffs of Pedregal Mountain behind it. Its Crudo Pool Bar serves ceviche, sushi and oysters beside the water. Families have a separate family pool, a kids' pool and a kids' club for ages 5 to 11.
The resort is reached through the private Dos Mares tunnel, cut through the mountain on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. It sits on the beach, but the hotel advises against swimming there because of strong currents.
Every room, suite, casita and villa has a private plunge pool and an ocean view. The plunge pools have an infinity edge only in some categories, including the King Ocean View Vista with Plunge Pool, the One Bedroom Estrella Suite with Plunge Pool and the Three Bedroom Ocean View Villa. The rooms were redesigned in 2025 with locally sourced Mexican furnishings, textiles and artwork.
El Farallon, a cliffside restaurant over the ocean, serves ocean-to-table seafood, and the spa bases its treatments on the lunar cycle, the sea and Mexican folk healing. Best for: couples seeking privacy and travelers who want their own plunge pool.

Grand Velas Los Cabos has three heated infinity pools set on tiers that step down toward the Sea of Cortez. Two are shared by all guests: the family pool at the center and a pool used for daily activities and exercise classes. The third, the oceanfront Serenity pool, is reserved for guests who are at least 16.
Every suite has an ocean view and a private terrace, and the Grand Class, Family Duplex, Presidential, Royal and Imperial suites add a plunge pool. The beach in front of the resort is not suitable for swimming, and the hotel recommends Chileno Beach for a swim in the sea.
The resort is all-inclusive. Its Cocina de Autor restaurant holds a MICHELIN star and serves a tasting menu. The SE Spa runs a Spa Water Journey with alternating temperatures and water pressure, and younger guests have a kids' club for ages 4 to 12 and a teens' club. Best for: families on an all-inclusive vacation and couples who travel for fine dining.

Zadún is the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Mexico. It sits on a secluded beach in Puerto Los Cabos, San José del Cabo, where the desert meets the Sea of Cortez. Its main pool, next to the El Barrio restaurant, is a heated infinity pool open to all guests, families included, with a swim-up bar and loungers set in the shallow water.
Couples who want a calmer spot have Equis, a smaller pool set aside for adults, with private cabanas and poolside service. There is also a lap pool by the fitness center, and the spa, run with Sensei, the wellness brand founded by Larry Ellison and Dr. David Agus, has a hydrotherapy circuit and personalized wellness programs.
All 113 rooms, suites and villas have art, textiles and finishes made by Mexican artisans, and the Serene Garden rooms look onto the gardens rather than the sea. The Zadún Beachfront Suite and the five-bedroom Grand Reserve Villa add private plunge pools, and each room comes with a personal butler, called a tosoani. Children aged 5 to 12 have their own nature program, Guardians of Baja, with activities such as bird-watching, gardening and storytelling.
Best for: families who want a kids' program by the sea, and couples planning a wellness stay.

Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol, the first Park Hyatt hotel in Mexico, stands in the private Cabo del Sol community in the Tourist Corridor, facing the Sea of Cortez. Its main pool area, beside the Mesa Madre restaurant, is a series of tiered infinity pools that look out to the sea. These family pools are open to all hotel guests and are heated year-round.
At the beach club, the Costamar Pool, its hot tub and the beach cabanas are reserved for guests who are at least 15. The beach and the Costamar restaurant, which serves coastal Californian food, welcome all ages.
Every room has a private terrace or patio, and more than half of the 163 rooms are suites. Private plunge pools come only with the three Plunge Pool Suite categories and the Premier Suite with Plunge Pool. The two- and three-bedroom ocean-view villas have a private lap pool and a kitchen. Saria Spa, a large wellness center, has a lap pool and a yoga studio, and guests get preferred tee times at Cabo del Sol's Desert Course.
Best for: families who need villa space, and golfers.

The Cape is a boutique hotel on the Cabo San Lucas coast, set above Monuments Beach, a surf break with El Arco in view. Its main pool is an infinity pool open to all hotel guests, with a swim-up bar at Point Break, the poolside restaurant. A second, saltwater pool is carved into the natural rock.
Rooms are furnished in midcentury Latin American style, and each has a private balcony with a hanging daybed; many bathrooms have a freestanding copper-leafed tub. El Arco is visible from many of the rooms, suites and residences. Suites and residences with Plunge Pool in their name add a private plunge pool, and the 32 residences, with one to three bedrooms and full kitchens, suit families and groups.
Manta, the signature restaurant of Michelin-starred chef Enrique Olvera, overlooks El Arco, and The Rooftop bar hosts DJ sets or live music at sunset. Expect a social atmosphere at the pool bar and on the roof rather than a quiet retreat. The spa offers treatments in open-air cabanas by the sea.
Best for: couples and groups of friends who want El Arco views with a lively pool and rooftop scene.

Adults-only and all-inclusive, Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos sits on the beach in the Tourist Corridor, facing the Sea of Cortez. Its infinity pools look out over the ocean and are open to all guests, and the main pool and the infinity pool are heated to 30 C (86 F) during the winter season.
Every stay comes with butler service, BVLGARI bath products and a premium liquor dispenser in the room. The standard Royale Deluxe rooms face the gardens, so travelers who want the Sea of Cortez from the balcony should book an ocean view category, such as the Royale Junior Suite. The Royale Walk Out Suite, also with garden views, opens directly onto the pool terrace.
Meals, top-shelf drinks and 24-hour in-room dining are part of the stay, with restaurants serving French, Italian, Lebanese and Japanese cuisine; every restaurant requires a reservation. Wellness is a focus: the spa has a hydrotherapy circuit, and the activity program includes Pilates and TRX classes.
Best for: couples and wellness-minded travelers planning a winter beach stay.

Solaz sits on a white sand beach in the Tourist Corridor, the coast between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, facing the Sea of Cortez. Its family infinity pool is heated, open to all hotel guests and overlooks the Sea of Cortez. It is one of several pools on the grounds, and the infinity pools are finished in green granite that echoes the color of the water.
The buildings are by the Mexican architecture firm Sordo Madaleno, with sculptures and art by César López-Negrete around the resort. All 145 rooms and suites have sea views, with local huanacaxtle wood and marble. For a private pool, book a Plunge Pool Room, a Plunge Pool Suite or a One Bedroom Plunge Pool Suite, which add a plunge pool on the terrace.
Al Pairo, recommended by the Michelin Guide, serves pre-Hispanic cuisine made with native ingredients. Children have the CaboNautas kids' club and two pools of their own.
Best for: families who want a heated infinity pool by the sea, and travelers drawn to contemporary Mexican art and architecture.

At Land's End, the tip of the Baja California peninsula, Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa sits on a private beach between the cliffs and the Pacific Ocean. Its infinity pools face the open ocean and are shared by all guests. They belong to a group of seven pools and three hot tubs, with a swim-up bar and poolside service.
The resort also looks out to the Sea of Cortez and El Arco, the rock arch of Cabo San Lucas. Every accommodation is a suite with a private balcony or terrace and Pacific views. Suites range from the Grand Studio, with a kitchenette, to penthouses of up to four bedrooms with full kitchens, and some have a private hot tub.
La Roca, the main restaurant, serves international dishes with ocean views, and the resort has two oceanfront spas. Childcare and children's activities are available, and the multi-bedroom penthouses suit families and groups.
Best for: couples who want an ocean view from the pool, and families who need a suite with a kitchen.
Viceroy Los Cabos is a beachfront resort in the hotel zone of San José del Cabo, facing the Sea of Cortez. Its beachfront infinity pools are shared by all hotel guests, with the open sea and the horizon beyond the edge. They are part of five pools that also include a main pool, a family pool and a rooftop pool reserved for adults.
The white buildings by Mexican architect Miguel Ángel Aragonés are linked by the Water Mirrors, shallow reflecting pools that catch the sky and form the resort's signature feature. The resort reopened in 2026 after a renovation that restored them. Nido, the woven, nest-shaped restaurant, serves sushi and omakase, and the resort holds one MICHELIN Key.
Many rooms, suites, casitas and villas have furnished balconies overlooking the sea. Private plunge pools come with the Partial Ocean View Junior Suite with Plunge Pool, the Ocean View Junior Suite with Plunge Pool, the Casitas and Villas and the Two Bedroom Penthouse + Den. The resort advises against swimming at its beach because of strong currents, so the pools are the place to swim. A kids' club welcomes children aged 4 to 11.
Best for: couples drawn to modernist design, and families who plan to swim in the pools rather than the sea.

The main pool area of Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos is a group of infinity pools facing the beach and the Sea of Cortez, in the Tourist Corridor, and all guests can use it. It is part of eight outdoor pools, all of them heated, including a kids' pool, a swim-up bar and a pool with a transparent side for underwater photos.
Seasonal ocean conditions and strong currents mean swimming is not recommended on the beach in front of the resort. The shore is for walks and sunsets, and the pools are where guests swim.
Rooms are suites, from junior suites to four-bedroom penthouse lofts, with private terraces facing the sea and hammocks; the larger suites add a full kitchen. Stays are room-only or on the optional Gourmet Culinary All-Inclusive Plan, which covers the resort's six restaurants. Spa Imagine has a hydrotherapy circuit, and the Kids' Club takes children aged 4 to 12.
Best for: families who want a large suite and an all-inclusive option.
Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort is a beachfront resort in the Tourist Corridor, midway between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Its two infinity-edge pools overlook the Sea of Cortez: the Jewel Infinity Pool is open to all hotel guests, and the Serenity Pool, with Jacuzzi cabanas along its deck, is reserved for guests who are at least 21.
The resort faces a sheltered cove with a swimmable beach and gentle waves, where the Enclave Beach Club has private cabanas and beachside dining. A separate Dolphin Pool has a water slide and a splash zone next to the kids' club, with Mio, a swim-up sushi and raw bar, at its edge. Residents of Baja California Sur can buy a resort day pass that covers the pools, the beach club and the spa areas.
Rooms and suites have hacienda-inspired decor and a private balcony or terrace. The Plunge Pool Suite Ocean Front and the AltaMar Plunge Pool Suite Oceanfront add a private plunge pool with open views of the sea. The resort is not all-inclusive; some packages include breakfast.
Best for: families who want a swimmable beach, and couples who want a pool for guests at least 21.

On swimmable Medano Beach, overlooking the Cabo San Lucas marina, Breathless Cabo San Lucas is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. Its long infinity pool sits on a seaward deck beside the marina breakwater, facing the Sea of Cortez, with cabanas and loungers along both sides. It is one of two infinity pools open to all guests: one is a relaxing pool overlooking the marina, the other is in the Freestyle Entertainment Zone, with views of the beach, the ocean and the bay.
The program runs from day into night, with poolside DJ sets, themed pool events at the beach club, live music, and cocktails at Purple, the rooftop lounge with views of the marina and the Sea of Cortez. Pool days can be upbeat or low-key, and the marina pool is the quieter of the two. Downtown Cabo San Lucas, with its bars and nightlife, is close by.
All 169 suites have a furnished balcony or terrace, and the Marina View categories look over the harbor. Suites in the xhale club add a private lounge and complimentary use of the spa hot tub. The Unlimited-Luxury plan covers dining at the eight restaurants and top-shelf drinks.
Best for: couples and groups of friends who want an all-inclusive stay with a lively social program.
Before you book
Five questions that decide which of the hotels above fits your trip.
Swim on the Sea of Cortez side, in the sheltered coves of the Tourist Corridor or on Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas; elsewhere, plan your days around the pool. The Pacific coast brings stronger surf and currents, and the tourism board's swimming advice sends swimmers to the calmer Sea of Cortez.
Even on the calm side, not every hotel beach is a swimming beach. Grand Velas Los Cabos, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa, Viceroy Los Cabos and Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal advise against swimming at their own beach, so at these four you will swim in the infinity pool, not the sea.
For sea swimming, look for a protected cove. Montage Los Cabos sits on Santa Maria Bay, a marine sanctuary with a coral reef. Chileno Bay Resort & Residences faces a calm cove where guests snorkel straight from the shore. Hilton Los Cabos has a sheltered, swimmable beach with gentle waves, and Breathless Cabo San Lucas is on Medano Beach, the main swimmable beach in town. Santa Maria, Chileno and El Medano are among the Blue Flag beaches named by the tourism board. Flags still change with the swell: green means you can swim, red or black means stay out of the water.
For calm sea water at the door, we would choose Montage: the bay suits snorkeling and paddleboarding. The compromise: its infinity pool is reserved for adults, so children use the family pool above it. On a smaller budget, our pick is Hilton, where the Jewel Infinity Pool is open to all guests and the Serenity Pool is for guests aged 21 and over.
The Tourist Corridor suits a resort stay on a quiet bay. Cabo San Lucas puts the marina and town life close by, while San José del Cabo is a calmer base near a historic center. Los Cabos is mainly these two towns, linked by a coastal road of about 33 km (20 miles) lined with resorts.
Most hotels on this page are in the Corridor. Esperanza, an Auberge Collection resort, stands on the Punta Ballena bluffs with private beaches of its own. Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol is inside the private Cabo del Sol community, while Solaz and Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos sit on the beach between the two towns. Resorts here are self-contained, so most days are spent at the hotel.
Cabo San Lucas is the lively town, with the marina, boat trips to El Arco and the water sports of Medano Beach. The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, looks over Monuments Beach toward El Arco, with a social pool bar and rooftop. On the Pacific side, Grand Solmar Land's End sits between the cliffs and the open ocean at the tip of the peninsula. The Waldorf Astoria is reached through a private tunnel cut through the mountain at Pedregal. Choose the Pacific side for sunsets and cliffs, not for sea swimming.
San José del Cabo is the quieter town, with cobblestone streets, whitewashed buildings and an Art District. Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, sits on a beach in Puerto Los Cabos, and the Viceroy stands in the town's hotel zone.
For a first trip, the Corridor gives the widest choice of hotels and the calmest bays. Choose Cabo San Lucas if restaurants and the marina matter more than a quiet beach.
November to May is the best window for pool days, and from December to March a heated pool makes a real difference once the sun goes down. Winter days are mild, around 24 C (75 F). Nights turn cool, with January lows near 14 C (57 F). The sea is at its coolest then, around 22 C (72 F). Winter is also the peak season, and whales pass the coast from December to April.
March and April bring warmer days, around 28 C (82 F), and calm, clear water, which makes them the most balanced months for the pool and the sea. From May the heat builds, and July to September averages around 32 C (90 F), with occasional thunderstorms and lower prices. The eastern Pacific hurricane season runs from mid-May to the end of November. A late summer or autumn stay therefore needs a flexible plan, even though the sea is warmest then.
Heating varies by hotel and by pool. At Grand Velas all three infinity pools are heated. At Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol all five pools are heated year-round, and at Garza Blanca all eight outdoor pools are heated. Zadún heats its main pool at El Barrio, Solaz its family infinity pool and Le Blanc its main pool and infinity pool in the winter season.
Book March to May for warm days and calm water. From December to March, pick a heated pool if you plan long afternoons by the water, and keep late summer for lower prices with a booking you can change.
Couples do not need an adults-only resort to swim without children: many family resorts here keep an infinity pool, or part of one, for adults. At Esperanza, Montage and the Waldorf Astoria, the infinity pool itself is reserved for adults, and children use separate family pools. At Grand Velas the Serenity infinity pool is for guests aged 16 and over, and the Serenity Pool at Hilton is for guests aged 21 and over. At Park Hyatt the Costamar beach club pool is for guests aged 15 and over.
Le Blanc and Breathless are the two adults-only resorts on this page, and neither states a minimum age, so ask before booking with teenagers. For a quiet adults-only week, we would choose Le Blanc, with butler service and pools heated in winter. Breathless is the livelier option, with poolside DJ sets and themed parties next to the marina.
All-inclusive is the standard plan at Grand Velas, Le Blanc and Breathless, and an optional plan at Garza Blanca. It pays off in the Corridor, where most days revolve around the resort; room-only makes more sense when you plan to eat out in Cabo San Lucas or San José del Cabo.
For families, our pick is Chileno Bay: its three-tiered infinity pool has an Adults Pool, a Family Pool and a shallow Kids Pool above a calm cove, though its rates sit at the top of this page's range.
A private plunge pool is worth it for privacy, and for families at resorts where the infinity pool is reserved for adults. For long swims and the open view, you will still use the shared infinity pool. Most hotels on this page sell some rooms with a plunge pool on the terrace, but the 'from' price on each card is for the cheapest room, which is not always one with a pool. Book by the category name, such as 'with Plunge Pool' or 'with Pool'. At Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol, the plunge pools come with the Plunge Pool Suite categories and the Premier Suite with Plunge Pool, while the two- and three-bedroom villas have a private lap pool.
A private infinity edge is rarer. It comes with the Casas at Montage, the Wellness Suite at Chileno Bay and several top categories at the Waldorf Astoria. There, the King Ocean View Vista and the One Bedroom Estrella Suite have an infinity-edge pool on a terrace facing the Pacific.
If a private pool is the point of the trip, we would choose Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, where every room, suite, casita and villa has its own plunge pool. The compromise is a Pacific beach where the hotel advises against swimming.
