The infinity pool

Where the pool sits and what it looks out on

The ATMOS Pool is the hotel's rooftop infinity pool. It sits on the top level of the building, open to the sky: a long rectangular basin with its infinity edge on the outer side. Deira is an older, low-rise part of Dubai, so the water looks out over the rooftops of the Deira heritage area around the souks. The modern Dubai skyline, Burj Khalifa included, stands further away on the horizon, and the hotel recommends the pool for sunset.

The deck is set up for a day in the sun, with a row of white loungers and striped parasols along the water and a curved slatted screen around the terrace. A poolside bar serves refreshments, so there is no need to leave the roof for a drink.

Who can swim and what to book

The pool is shared by all hotel guests. Access comes with every room and has no extra fee, so there is no need to book a higher category for the pool. Whichever room you book, the pool, the deck and the view from the water are the same for everyone. Guests of all ages can swim.

Swimming with children

The hotel calls itself family-friendly and has a separate children's pool area in addition to the rooftop infinity pool. Children can also use the main pool, so families can move between the two. For a family of four, the Family Room is the category that sleeps up to four guests in one room.

Drinks, music and the gym on the roof

Next to the pool, the ATMOS Rooftop Lounge mixes cocktails with spices and botanicals found in the Dubai spice souk, served with small bites, and the evenings are set to house beats. Swimming and training sit side by side up here: the hotel's compact gym overlooks the rooftop pool, so the water and the deck stay in sight during a workout.
